Firefox 2.0 Release Candidate 1 is available for download

Mozilla has announced that Release Candidate 1 (RC 1) of Firefox 2 can be downloaded for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux in more than 40 languages.

Among the other new features that release candidate 1 has made available are:

Enhanced search engine management;
Improvements to tabbed browsing;
Inline spell check for web forms;
The ability to create bookmarks;
Support for client-side session and persistent storage;
Support for JavaScript 1.7;
The ability to create bookmarks with live titles that offer short summaries of the site.
