Firefox 2 Final comes a week after its arch rival — Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, celebrated the official release of its seventh iteration. The percentage of Firefox users has been rising steadily ever since the release of Firefox 1.0 in November 2004. Firefox is said to have hit nearly 250 million downloads so far, according to various sources.
Today is last day of record on Firefox Party. It happens world-wide!!! Start – 27th October.

Firefox 2 Final comes a week after its arch rival — Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Firefox 2 can be downloaded now in 37 languages (between other in: English, Polish, Russian, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish, German, French, and in other languages). Existing users of Firefox will be offered the new version via the software update system over the next few days. Mozilla’s Firefox 2 is available for Windows, Mac and Linux machines.

Microsoft released the final version of Internet Explorer 7. The browser is only available in English, but other languages will be added over the coming weeks.
Group Policy can manage both the Windows XP and Windows Vista version of IE7, so that IT staffs don’t have to manage each version of the browser separately.

The first release candidate for Firefox 2.0 was available on 26 September, the second was released on 6 October, and now, the third and final release candidate for open-source Firefox browser is available for free downloading. Mozilla is really very fast :)
For the Mozila Foundation and the Firefox community, the posting of Release Candidate 3 (RC3) is a huge milestone, because it represent the final code for the long-awaited Firefox 2.0 browser.
